John Montague, Esq.
With over 9 years of experience working in private equity, venture capital, and M&A transactions, John specializes in structuring and executing transactions for Blake Harris Law. His proficiency in these practice areas resulted in John serving as adjunct professor at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business, where he taught “Law for Entrepreneurs.”
Prior to joining Blake Harris Law, John served as a senior associate at Locke Lord, where he focused on structuring venture capital and private equity transactions for a variety of growth-phase companies. In addition, John served on Locke Lord’s cryptocurrency practice group and has been working at the intersection of cryptocurrencies and law for over five years.
John started his legal career as General Counsel for Grooveshark, which was the first music service in the United States to allow unlimited music streaming consumption (with more than 30 million unique monthly visitors in 2012).
